Haptica – braille watch

This is one of those ingenious inventions that makes us ask why no one has thought of it before. Haptica is the name of a wrist watch especially created by American designer David Chavez with a braille dial. The truth is there are already several kinds of watches for the visually impaired, but they are nothing more than conventional devices in which you can touch the watch’s hands in order to know the time. Now, thanks to a crafty mechanical system, the Haptica is the first watch to write the time in braille in its dial.

The watch’s box has two parallel, lateral borders that create a channel that leads the firgers unto a reading surface. This surface is no more than a set of rotating disks with a braille code incision that is actually the hours and minutes numbers. It is essentially a classic mechanical system in watchmaking and the designer’s merit lies in the fact that he was able to adapt it to this use, in particular. Senayan – Hujan interupsi yang berlangsung sejak paripurna digelar Selasa (2/3) hingga Rabu (3/3), beberapa anggota DPR untuk melegitimasi pendapatnya selalu membawa-bawa nama rakyat. Rakyat juga menjadi pembenar yang ampuh atas pilihannya, termasuk dalam memilih opsi A (bailout tak masalah) dan opsi C (bailout bermasalah).

Berikut ini pendapat sejumlah anggota DPR yang direkam Jurnalparlemen.com, Rabu malam, saat interupsi terjadi:

Maruarar Sirait (F-PDIP):
Pertama kita harus meminta maaf kepda rakyat Indonesia atas kejadian kemarin (kericuhan). Kedua, kita sudah pelajari dari peristiwa kemarin. Untuk itu, kami juga siap mengusulkan kepada pimpinan, agar langsung diambil keputusan. Apakah pandangan akhir fraksi ini masih diperlukan atau tidak. Kita sudah mengetahui bersama, Pansus Angket ini memang lain dari yang lain, didukung 530 orang dari 550 dan 9 fraksi, dan mendapat perhatian publik yang begitu besar.

Kalau sampai kemarin, Ketua Pansus Idrus Marham membacakan ada opsi A dan C. Artinya apa, pembahasan tiga bulan itu ada yang kita bisa sama-sama, tapi pada akhirnya ada juga yang kita tidak sama. Pada akhirnya kita tidak bisa dipaksa-paksa dan dilobi-lobi untuk sama.

Mari kita konsisten, kita mengaku untuk rakyat, mengaku ingin DPR lebih baik, di opsi A dan C sudah jelas ada sikap-sikap fraksi-fraksi. Kami menghormati sikap fraksi-fraksi lain, dan kami minta agar sikap fraksi kami juga dihormati. Kami akan memperjuangan sikap dan pandangan fraksi kami.

Ramadhan Pohan (F-PD):
Kita adalah wakil rakyat, dan suara rakyat suara Tuhan. Saya malu sekali menyaksikan peristiwa kemarin, yang tidak santun sama sekali. Mereka tidak puas dengan Ketua DPR, tapi itu tidak bisa menjadi alasan untuk sewenang-wenang. Masih banyak cara terhormat yang lain.

Seperti yang dikatakan saudaraku Maruarar Sirait, kita harus minta maaf kepada rakyat. Saya berharap anggota Dewan tidak bertindak seperti kemarin.

Nurul Arifin (F-PG):
Suara Golkar adalah suara rakyat, saya harap sidang hari ini tidak bertele-tele dan langsung pada inti, tidak perlu pandangan fraksi karena rakyat sudah bosan dengan parade drama. Di samping itu jangan sampai ini masuk angin karena AC sangat dingin. Opsi sudah jelas A atau C. (atm/yat)
